POPCORN INFORMATION

Notes on Dates/Sales/Earnings

It is the pack policy that a scout may apply the designated percentage of his popcorn sales to the cost of future scout events!  Woohoo!

Get ready for the 2007 Popcorn sale!  This annual event is our main fund raiser.  The Show & Sell Popcorn has been gaining in popularity over the last few years. The level of Show & Sell Popcorn was substantially increased last year to fill this demand and our Popcorn Kernel is planning on similar levels this year.  Of course, if you prefer the traditional method of taking orders for later delivery, that’ll work as well.  The big advantage to Show & Sell is that you only make one trip to a house.

The important dates for 2007 were:

  • November 5th - Popcorn Kick-Off meeting 7:00 PM.  Show & Sell Popcorn available for pick up. (Use the Show & Sell Form)
  • November 9th - Popcorn Sales Begin – SELL! SELL! SELL!
  • November 14th - First “Fill-it-up” to Popcorn Kernel by 5:00 PM.
  • November 17th - Council Blitz Day.
  • November 21st - Second “Fill-it-up” to Popcorn Kernel by 5:00 PM.
  • November 24th - The following due by 5:00 PM.
    • Final popcorn orders to Popcorn Kernel.
    • Any remaining unsold Show and Sell Popcorn returned to the Popcorn Kernel.
    • Third “Fill-it-up” to Popcorn Kernel.
  • December 9th - Final Popcorn available to be picked up for delivery.
  • December 17th - All money and order sheets due.
    • Awards will be based on the money turned in by this date.
